What is Ayurveda?
"Ayu" means life and "Veda" is knowledge of science. Ayurveda is "the science of life". It is a complete healing system that is said to be over 5000 years old that focuses on restoring the body into balance.
According to Ayurveda, there is no one size fits all approach because are we are all unique individuals with a combination of the elements - or doshas - of vata, pitta and kapha. Because of this Ayurveda is focused on tools and practices to create health on a daily basis using your innate healing ability.
Balance is achieved through a personalized plan that can include diet, lifestyle, herbs, exercise, massage, detoxification and rejuvenation therapies.
How is Ayurveda different from other alternative health modalities?
Ayurveda stands out by focusing on the root cause of illness—not just managing symptoms. It aims to prevent disease at its source by understanding each person’s unique constitution and imbalances.
As the world’s oldest system of functional medicine, Ayurveda:
Emphasizes personalized care
Seeks to restore balance through diet, lifestyle, herbs, and daily routines
Views health as a dynamic balance between body, mind, and spirit
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, Ayurveda meets you where you are and guides you back to your natural state of well-being.
What can I expect in an Ayurvedic Health Consultation?
An Ayurvedic consultation is a deeply personalized experience that looks at your whole self—body, mind, and spirit. Rather than just addressing symptoms, we explore your unique constitution (dosha), lifestyle, diet, and health history to uncover the root causes of imbalance.
You can expect:
A thoughtful conversation about your current concerns, goals, and daily habits
Assessment of your dosha (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha) and current imbalances
Gentle, practical recommendations for food, daily routines, herbal support, and self-care practices
Space to feel heard, seen, and supported on your healing journey
Follow-up sessions help track your progress, adjust your wellness plan, and offer continued guidance as you build habits that nourish your vitality.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! All consultations, classes, and workshops can be done virtually from the comfort of your home.
Why is healthy digestion so important?
In Ayurveda, we say: "You are what you digest."
While food provides the raw materials for nourishment, it’s your digestive fire (agni) that determines how well those nutrients are absorbed and assimilated. Healthy digestion supports:
Strong immunity
Vibrant energy and vitality
Clear skin and healthy complexion
Balanced emotions and mental clarity
When agni is weak, toxins (ama) can accumulate, leading to imbalance and disease. That’s why Ayurveda considers digestion the cornerstone of good health—because when your digestion is strong, your entire system can thrive.
How do herbs support health?
Herbs are nature’s medicine—gentle, powerful allies that support the body’s natural healing processes. In Ayurveda and herbalism, herbs are used not just to treat symptoms, but to restore balance, strengthen vitality, and nourish body, mind, and spirit.
Herbs can help:
Support digestion and metabolism
Calm the nervous system and ease stress
Boost immunity and resilience
Balance hormones and improve sleep
Cleanse and detoxify gently over time
Whether enjoyed as a tea, taken as a tincture, or used topically, herbs work in harmony with the body to promote long-term health and well-being.

Why should I practice yoga?
Yoga means union—a deep connection with our true self. While the world around us constantly pulls our senses outward, yoga gently draws the mind inward, guiding us toward inner stillness, clarity, and rest.
A calm, clear, and joyful mind naturally supports a healthy body.
When paired with an Ayurvedic lifestyle, a regular yoga and meditation practice can:
Accelerate the healing process
Support mental and emotional balance
Deepen our sense of connection and wholeness
Yoga is not just movement—it's a pathway to harmony, both within and all around us.
